The Morning After Donald’s Nothing Burger Parade

The day after Donald Trump’s nothing burger birthday parade, apparently attended mostly by DC locals who wandered over to the mall, and what do we have? We have two wars. One in Ukraine and another in the Middle East.

We also have prices going up at the grocery stores while Trump backs away from his position on immigrants, now admitting that the country needs farm and hospitality industry workers. Something he should have thought through, before sending out his masked ICE goon squads rounding up anybody that even looked Latino, throwing them into detention centers without proper warrants, without the proper power of law that is supposed to rule our nation. The power of law that demands due process for anyone on American soil. It’s not new. It’s something the founders borrowed from the Magna Carta.

This is the United States. This is not North Korea. We do not live on our knees in fear. We do not bow down when some exalted ruler passes by or holds a big parade for himself to satisfy his mammoth ego and apparent childlike insecurity. Make no mistake, that parade had nothing to do with the Army, it was all about Donald J. Trump.

A STRING OF FAILURES

Trump has failed with immigration, as he now backpedals his ass off, saying he may have to exempt farm, restaurant and hotel workers from his gestapo-like raids. He failed with national security by abandoning our allies while apparently relying on Vladimir Putin for advice. He was handed an economy that was stable and strong, so he enacted tariffs which threw it into chaos. That’s pure failure, as prices went up and not down as he had promised.

It’s true that gas prices dropped, but they’ll be going up again thanks to the Israel/Iran war, something Trump contributed to when he dropped out of Obama’s deal with Iran in 2018, whereby they agreed to limit nuclear development. With the U.S. out of the deal, Iran’s nuclear program went into high gear, giving Israel’s Netanyahu grounds to argue for an all-out attack against the Iranians. So it could be argued that Donald Trump fanned the flames that ignited this current war between Israel and Iran.

He also failed on his pledge to end the war in Ukraine. Instead, he deployed Marines and the California National Guard to the streets of Los Angeles, quite probably in violation of “Posse Comitatus” and other laws. As with almost every decision Trump makes, the question is slowly moving through the courts. However, both the Governor of California and the Mayor of Los Angeles, told the Trump Administration that they did not want the troops called in, so there’s an even chance Donald’s gonna fail on this one too.

The truth, is that California had it handled. Things only got worse when the military showed up. So there it is, another Trump failure. More chaos. It’s what Trump thrives on. He needs it to hide behind, to take cover for his many failures.

Even setting his association with Jeffrey Epstein aside, this guy can’t get out of his own way. Donald Trump, infamously, had business failures and even bankruptcies, one after another before taking office. Now, his string of failures has been extended to the United States Government, and it must be stopped. If allowed to continue, he could destroy our Constitutional Republic, marking the demise of a free and democratic United States, his final and biggest failure of all.

Following a weekend with millions of Americans in the streets, there should be no doubt that most of America, has had enough.
