Thinking today about an interview I did with the late Kris Kristofferson, on the steps of the old Federal Building in Los Angeles. If you’ve watched any of the video coming in of the current protests, then you’ve seen that very same building. Kristofferson was there, years ago, to show his support for undocumented workers.

Moments ago, MSNBC put up some numbers that struck me. According to the report, ICE is now holding more than 51-thousand detainees. 44-percent, have no criminal record the report said, and it made me think of my interview with Kris Kristofferson so many years ago and what Trump said more recently, that they were going to go after criminals and law breakers. He said nothing about day laborers, farm workers or kitchen workers with no criminal record and families to support.
