Trump is on live tv again, claiming he’s gonna cut drug prices by 80%. Or maybe 85%. Whoops, he just dropped down somewhere into the “maybe 70%” but now he slid back up to 85%. No clue on how he plans to do it. By edict, maybe, which will in all likelihood be overturned in court.
Now he’s saying the price of gas is down to $1.99 a gallon. The Auto Club, puts the national average at $3.17 a gallon.
Now he’s claiming that grocery prices are down. That’s also a lie. A search by AI puts grocery prices up 2.4% above this same time last year.
All of this, of course, follows Trump’s much heralded more than two hour long phone call with Vladimir Putin, which appears to have accomplished nothing, other than reinforcing what appears to be a warm relationship between the President of the United States, and a murderous dictator, who appears to be out to reconstruct the old Soviet Union.
We are supplying arms to Ukraine, which Putin is trying to destroy, while our president snuggles up to Putin. “The enemy of my friend is my friend?” How can the madness of this position escape anybody?
It really doesn’t matter whether Trump is delusional or an outright liar in need of another diversion. Either way, the result is the same, much of the American public is being snowed.
Elon Musk, apparently gets it. He has just announced that he will be spending a “lot less” on politics. As for all those others, that still can’t understand and won’t listen, even when the message is coming from Springsteen, I’m reminded of another sociopath by the name of Charles Manson.
Not that many years ago, Charlie Manson, was sitting out in the Mojave Desert, dreaming of being king after whipping up a race war in America. Now we have a president doing the same thing but out of the Oval Office, using race to divide and conquer and a phony economic crisis to spread fear as he dreams of being the first American Emperor.
What is that old saying about “He who has ears to hear, let him hear,” and “He who has eyes let him see.” I think it may be from the Bible. Good advice. Prophetic, you might say.
