NPR is reporting that the Justice Department is set to file charges against a former board member at Goldman Sachs. Public Radio reports that former board member Rajat Gupta, is expected to surrender to federal authorities “to face criminal charges stemming from a massive hedge fund insider trading case, according to two people familiar with the case.”
According to NPR, Gupta also served on the boards of the parent company for American Airlines and Proctor and Gamble. He has also been a guest at the Obama White House.
A lawyer for Gupta, says the facts in the case will prove his client to be innocent.
