A couple of thoughts.
According to the CIA World Factbook, Libya, is 82.6% literate, which gives them a pretty good shot at nation-building, particularly when compared to places like Pakistan, which has a largely illiterate society (49.9% literate). Don’t you wonder why the American “media” almost never makes a connection between a country’s literacy rate and the potential for that same country moving forward? How do you connect with a population that can neither read nor write?
