In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is advising Americans to back off on their criticism of China with regard to the sour economy. We should stop blaming the Chinese “and take a look at ourselves” he told the paper.
Of equal or even greater interest are the Mayor’s comments on our newly elected representatives to Congress.
“If you look at the U.S., you look at who we’re electing to Congress, to the Senate—they can’t read,” he said. “I’ll bet you a bunch of these people don’t have passports. We’re about to start a trade war with China if we’re not careful here,” he warned, “only because nobody knows where China is. Nobody knows what China is.” -Michael Bloomberg
Over the pond, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, has joined Facebook. Why does this seem so counterintuitive? It’s being suggested it’s Mr. Obama’s fault for getting her started down the road to hi-tech by presenting her with an iPod back in 2007 loaded with video of her trip to the U.S. However, reports point to the Queen already owning an iPod at the suggestion of Prince Andrew. Oh, and don’t even think about trying to “friend” Her Majesty. It’s not allowed. Wouldn’t be proper.
