Thinking back on the presidency of George W. Bush, and all the carping and complaining that was done about how he ignored the blue states, with California, at or near the top of the list. True, George W. Bush, played to his base. However, now that we’ve got a President who’s making trips to the state and listening to what Californians have to say (even if it takes a campaign contribution to get his ear), nearly all one hears from the media is alarmist complaining about the adverse impact his visits have on Los Angeles traffic.
When the President doesn’t come to L.A., we complain. When the President comes to L.A., we complain. The man is the President of the United States. Having him here is better than being ignored. Get over it.
